Up river from Muang Khua, the Nam Ou starts getting a bit rascally. The first set of rapids that we hit bit back, as a rock took a bite out of the prop.
The skipper is also the prop repairman. A spanner, a hammer, a bit of tie wire for a woodruff key, and we were seaworthy again.
