Lao weaving

In this Black Thai village (named for the tribal dress), almost every house has a loom. Cotton and silk are grown and harvested in the village. I saw the cotton plants and the silk worms. Then the fibre is spun by the women and, finally, woven into products.

It is an amazingly local process. The biggest mystery to me is where they get the patience to do it.
