Nam Ha

The Nam Ha Protected Area is a large section of jungle in NW Laos. Logging, machinery and pretty much everything save human powered travel is prohibited. It is stunningly beautiful, intensely rugged and remote. Steep, jungle clad mountains and ridges are sliced by narrow valleys, waterfalls and streams.

Wildlife is a constant presence, but much more seen than heard. The canopy jungle (Yes, thank you Walter) is dense and shadowed.
