Lamphang - Lazy

I love this town. I am sorry to leave and I will be happy to return. It is a provincial city almost without sights, or sites, to see. This place invites leisure, and I responded accordingly.

The morning broke hot and clear, and my stomach guided my feet unerringly to the local morning market. It seems that without map, directions or compass, my greedy palate steers my step directly to the stalls that have food.

Today's bill of fare was steamed fresh veggies and banana sticky rice wrapped in leaves. Brekkie dessert was fresh pineapple.

I am in a slow amble to the bus station and a northern run to Chiang Rai, a town I promised to return to after the last trip.

I am thoroughly on Thai time now. Things become slower and slower. It is so good to just watch the river go by and be.
